Incentives
Be rewarded for going green. In a bid to address climate change and conserve energy, water and natural resources, Adelaide City Council is providing reimbursements for the installation of water and energy conservation devices.
This scheme is available to all residential properties, sporting clubs and community organisations in the City of Adelaide.
Solar Panels
Receive $1,000 for installing solar panels (minimum 1KW peak). For lighting common areas in apartment buildings, receive $1 per watt (up to $3,000).
Solar Hot Water System
Receive $1,000 to convert an existing hot water system (electric, gas, electric heat pump or electric boosted solar) to a gas-boosted, solar hot water system.
Rainwater Tank
Receive up to $500 to purchase and install a rainwater tank (minimum 2,000 L, see eligibility criteria in the application form). For communal supply in apartments, install rainwater tank(s) and receive $0.25 per litre of storage capacity (up to $3,000, see eligibility criteria for details).

Garden Incentives
Native Vegetation Grants
Organisations with a demonstrated capacity to train volunteers and provide on-ground support can receive grants of up to $1000 per site to support volunteers in native vegetation management in the Park Lands.
Native Vegetation Grants are limited and are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Council on 8203 7203 if your organisation is interested in applying for Native Vegetation Grants.
