Transport Planning
Transport Planning is responsible for the following;
- Prepare strategies, policies, programs and monitor their implementation for greater transport choice.
- Deliver and facilitate training, education, awareness-raising and debate, both within the Corporation and externally, to promote strategic transport outcomes.
- Provide high quality and timely specialist advice on relevant strategies, policies, issues and development proposals to Council, Executive Management and other parts of Council Administration
- Establish and maintain partnerships with State Government agencies, peak groups and other stakeholders so we are all working together achieving strategic transport outcomes.
- Identify and recommend priorities for transport-related capital works and operating project initiatives for input to the annual budget cycle.
- Identify and implement travel demand management initiatives

- Analysis of Bicycle and Pedestrian data
- City PARAMICS Model (Joint project with Uni SA)
- Local Area Parking Plan (LAPAP) - City South East & North Adelaide
- TravelSmart SA initiatives such as Council's Green Travel Plan, Cycling Adelaide project
